GIF making

Today my class room 12 went to the innovation station (aka room 5).

First we had to use the shape tool to create the character we wanted to (I chose a character from this game called undertale.

Next once we finished doing the slides we had to go on this website called talltweets.com and paste the slide in the create GIF button.

Finally once we checked to see if its good then we had to post it on our blog. what I enjoyed was making the GIF.what I found challenging was moving shapes to shapes (it was a real finger hurt).What I might do differently next time is work on my placing skills (im bad at placing :( ).

pirate crew

Today my group did a story called pirate crew. First we had to read it to yourself.Next we had to read it with the teacher and find the words we didn't know.Finally we had to put it on a doc. what I enjoyed doing was searching up the meaning of them and writing them in a doc. What I might do differently next time is bring the document on.

Hankies meaning : a type of cotton cloth that you wash with.

Summer

Today room 1 were doing a poem called Summer. First we had to do it in our reading/writing book. Next in the poem we had to put in our 5 senses,see,taste,smell,hear,and feel.Finally we had to post it on our blog. What I enjoyed doing was creating the poem in my book. What I might do differently next time is make the slide bigger.

Today room 1 are doing shared reading about this book called the emperor penguin.First we had to make a life cycle of an emperor egg to a emperor penguin.Next we searched images on google to  match the word.Finally we shared it to our hand-in-sheet.What I enjoyed doing was making the life cycle about a emperor penguin.What I might do differently next time is move the words out of the pictures.

Wild orphans

Today for reading my group did this book called wild orphans. First we had to make a new presentation.Next we made the introduction then we had to write about what we learned and what we already know.Finally we added pictures of elephants to the presentation.What I enjoyed was making the slide to show you. What I might do differently next time is put the presentation on to this blog post.

Seed life

Yesterday room 1 were doing another poem called Seed life.First we had to write down the poem in our writing book once we finished our boarder.Next we made a colourful boarder and pictures to the poem.Finally we had to post it on our blog.What I enjoyed was writing the poem down.What I might do differently next time is make my boarder more different.

Today room 1 were doing another pobble 365 called opening doors.first we had to find adverbs and highlight them.Next we had to create a story board then when we did that we had to create pictures describing that adverb.Finally we had to share it to our blog.What I enjoyed was making the pictures to describe the adverb.What I might do differently next time is give you the link to the view page of the storyboard.

Spring things

Today room 1 were writing about a poem called spring things.First we wrote the poem in our writing books.Next once we finished the boarder and everything we had to take a photo on our iPad then share it to our self.Finally we had to put it on our blog once we finished. what I enjoyed was doing the colourful boarder.What I might do differently next time is do the boarder different from last time.

 WALT display information as an infographic. Today room 1 were learning about Easel.ly its a work site were you can put your work in an infographic. First our teacher gave us the link to the website. Next we went on and there were hundreds of infographics to choose from so I choose one that I liked.Finally once we finished we had to put it on our hand-in-sheet and post it on our blog.what I enjoyed was doing all the information that I did.what I might do differently next time is tell you what we were writing about.

Compost

Today room 1 were learning about compost to help our plants get healthy and strong. First we were talking about how to help our plants grow by not throwing our food scraps away and all our other things. Next we did some activity's on how tree's grow and find little insects. Finally we look through some dirt and found an earwig,beetle,tiger worm,earth worm.What I enjoyed was looking at the little insects.What I might do differently next time is probably show you photos of what we found.
 

ASIMO

Last week 2 groups were learning about robotics.First we went on to our website and found our work that we were doing for the week.then we went to reading eggs to find the book and luckily we found it.Finally once we finished the quizzes and we made our own version of our favourite robot in a google drawing.what I enjoyed was making my own version of the robot. what I might do differently next time is not make a rainbow background.

Today room 1 were learning about first aid kit to teach us how to save someones live with st john nikoli. First we did roleplays on eachother one had to save their life in 60 seconds then the other then the other got a try.Next we had to do another roleplay about dialling 111 one had to be the phone taker and one had to be the phone caller the question where do you need fire truck,ambulance,police what’s your address? What happened and then thank you an ambulance is on the way.Finally we learned about D.R.S.A.B that means danger response send for help airway breathing commence CPR and defibrillation.

how to make beeswax wraps.

Today room 1 were discussing about not using plastic because it is bad for the environment and we should use reusable bags.

First we looked at a video on how to make beeswax wraps.

Next we worked together on how to make beeswax wraps.

Finally we had to put it on our blog and write using the better blogging system.

What I enjoyed was discussing the issues with the class and then having a better understanding of how I can help the environment.

What I might do differently next time is add a little more detail to the better blogging system.

Planning ideas

• Cut fabric to the size we want.
• Get a cheese grater and beeswax.
• Grate the wax on top of the fabric.
• Place baking paper on top.
• Iron.
• Wait for it to cool and dry.

Beeswax wraps can be used to wrap your food instead of plastic.

Here is one of the many ways you can make your own wraps.

First you need to cut some cotton fabric to the size you want.

For different uses you might like to try different shapes and sizes. For example, you could cut fabric to the size of your favourite bowl.

Using the cheese grater, carefully grate the wax on to the fabric. Give the fabric an even coating of wax sprinkles because it is important to have a consistent layer so your food stays fresh.

Completely cover the fabric with baking paper. Gently rub the iron over the baking paper to melt the wax. The hot wax will melt in to the fabric creating a sticky air-tight wrap. Remove the baking paper and allow the wrap to cool down. This will take around 3 minutes.

Once it has cooled, your wrap is ready to use. Goodbye to single-use plastic wraps!

colour poem green

today room 1 have been doing this colour poem.First we had to write out a boarder and write our own poem version of it.Next once we finished our book one we had to choose a slide page that we wanted to to work in.Finally we added pictures to the slide that compered to the sentence.What I enjoyed doing was drawing the pictures (in felt tip I wasn't suppose to).What I might do differently next time is put the slideshow on to show you what I did on it.

maths question solving

Today my maths group had to do a maths sheet called turn about.First we grab the work sheet then glued it into our maths book.Next we had to start with simple multiplication then we had to do the turn about questions.Finally I answered all the questions except the maths questions here are they there are 50 crackers in a pack and Mary bought 4 how many crackers does she have? the answer was 200 how I figured it out was I had 4 packets of crackers the I took away 2 packets then made them into 100 then I grabbed the other 2 then made them into 100 then I put 100 and 100 together and it made 200 the next and final question was there are 9 cookies in a pack Steve has 2 packs how many cookies does he have? the answer was 18 how I figured it out was I grabbed 17 then put it together with 1 and it makes 18.What I enjoyed was doing the question the easy way. What I might do differently next time is add a picture to show you the questions.

magic carpet ride

WALT increasing vocabulary today room 1 had been doing pobble 365 for a couple of months.First we searched up the website and find the pobble 365 writing were doing.Next we copied the writing and pasted the writing into a document.Finally once we were finished we had to send the link to room 1's hand-in-sheet and post it on our blog. What I enjoyed was writing more writing to give more details. What I might do differently next time is add more interesting words to add better detail

The boy leant to his left and swooped around another corner. He never felt more alive than when he was on his magic carpet.
Finding a straight stretch of road he urged the carpet to top speed, sending plumes of dust from the ground all around him. He quickly approached a woman dressed in black carrying a bowl of fruit




The Genie stole a delicious scrumptious apple from the bowl of fruit and bolted into the air going faster than a flash. He gazed at the amazing view of the kingdom then he laughed Hysterically because he didn’t get caught. The woman was so furious.

“ I WILL FIND YOU!” she shouted with all her might.

Looking around, the genie replied

“What was that? Who cares”.

The next sunrise he woke up and he peeked through the window. The woman was right outside his doorstep.

“I must be Hallucinating” he thought to himself, as he punched himself to see if he was dreaming.

Sneakily he tiptoed to his magic carpet and zoomed out of the door bolting as fast as the magic carpet can go. Surprisingly the carpet ran out of energy and fell straight to the ground. The Genie was caught by the woman and was forced to return the apple. He was punished and was forced to go to prison for years and years and years.
